CenterPoint Energy Foundation Grant

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio received a $125,000 grant from CenterPoint Energy Foundation to financially support the mailing of 113,636 books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for children living in western Ohio.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio mails children one high-quality, age-appropriate book each month until a child’s fifth birthday. All children - from birth to age five - in Ohio can sign up for the program at no cost. The program remains free to participating families thanks to a collaborative effort between the Dollywood Foundation, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio, and 75 local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations across Ohio.

Each local program partner is assigned a region and works locally to increase awareness, enroll children, financially support the program, and strengthen community partnerships for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio. Monthly, each local program partner pays for one-half (50%) of the cost of the program in the assigned region. Matching funds are provided by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio, ensuring the program is free to participating families. The price of each book per month is $2.20.
